Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Prepare. Heat the oven to 175°C / 350°F and line baking trays with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugars. Beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and creamy.
- Add eggs and vanilla. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla.
- Add dry ingredients. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt separately. Add to the wet mixture and mix only until combined.
- Fold and portion. Fold in chocolate chips. Scoop rounded portions onto the trays, leaving room to spread.
- Bake and cool. Bake for 9–12 minutes, until the edges are golden but the centers still look soft. Rest on the tray for 5 minutes before moving to a rack.
